User Agreement

1.1. The Insider (hereinafter — the "Publication") is an online publication specializing in journalistic investigations, fact-checking, and political analysis.

1.2. This Agreement is a public offer and enters into force from the moment it is posted on the Site.

1.3. The Site Administration reserves the right to unilaterally change the terms of this Agreement at any time. Such changes take effect from the moment the new version of the Agreement is posted on the Site.

2.1. The User undertakes to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with applicable law.

2.2. When using the Site, the User has the right to:

• Access materials published on the Site;
• Subscribe to news newsletters (when providing an email address);
• Make donations in support of the Publication;
• Unsubscribe from news newsletters and cancel regular donations;
• Request information from the Publication about their personal data stored by the Publication.

3.1. The User may make a donation in any convenient form to support the activities of the Publication.

3.2. Purpose of donation: funds are considered received for statutory activities and maintenance of The Insider.

3.3. A donation is a gratuitous transfer of funds. The amount is set by the User.

3.4. A monthly donation is charged until the User cancels the subscription by email to [email protected]. After cancellation, future charges stop. Payments already made are not refunded under this clause; the right to withdraw a donation within 15 days under clause 3.5 remains.

3.5. The User may cancel their donation within 15 days from the date of the transaction by notifying the Publication by email at [email protected]. The Publication undertakes to return the funds within 15 days from the receipt of such notification.

3.6. The Publication may decline a donation before it is received and within 15 days after the transfer. If the donation is declined, the Publication shall refund it within 15 days of that decision. If a refund is technically impossible, the amount remains at the Publication’s disposal.

3.7. A cryptocurrency donation is voluntary and, as a rule, irreversible. A transfer on another network or to another address means the funds are lost. Such a donation can be refunded only if this is technically possible.

3.8. When making a donation, the User’s personal data (including name and email address) are processed in order to carry out the donation and may be transferred to payment providers (including Stripe and PayPal) solely for payment processing. Bank card details are stored by the payment service, not by the Publication.

3.9. By making a donation, the User agrees to receive transactional messages from the Publication about the payment: a confirmation, a receipt, and a notice if the donation is declined. These messages are not a news newsletter.

3.10. By paying a donation or checking the consent box, the User confirms that they have read the donation terms, understand the purpose of the funds, have the authority to transfer them, and accept these terms.

4.1. All materials posted on the Site, including texts, photographs, videos, and graphic images, are objects of intellectual property and are protected by copyright law.

4.2. The use of Site materials is permitted only with an active hyperlink to theins.ru as the source.

5.1. Issues not regulated by this Agreement shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law.

5.2. In the event of any disputes or disagreements related to the execution of this Agreement, the User and the Publication shall make every effort to resolve them through negotiations.

5.4. If one or more provisions of this Agreement are held invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in effect.
