Ukrainian Interior Ministry: Bodies of 63 people killed by Russian troops found in Kherson region

The bodies of 63 people killed by the Russian military have been found in the liberated Kherson region, reported Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs Denys Monastyrskyi.

“We have to remember that the search has just begun, so there will be many more torture and burial sites,” Monastyrskyi stressed. According to him, Ukraine has initiated a total of 436 criminal cases on “the results of the first signs of war crimes,” and also found 11 locations where the Russian military held prisoners. Four of them were used as torture sites.

Monastyrskyi added that the Russian military left many locations in the Kherson region mined – roads, residential buildings and police facilities. According to him, several pyrotechnicians were injured and killed during mine clearance.

On November 16, Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) reported that it had found a room in de-occupied Kherson in which Russian soldiers had tortured local residents. An inspection revealed items “directly indicating signs of torture.”
