Muscovite Anton Usov has been sentenced to 15 days in jail and fined 50,000 rubles ($785) after being detained for listening to Ukrainian music.

According to OVD-Info, Usov was found guilty of disobeying a police officer and discrediting the Russian Armed Forces. The man had been detained by traffic police for allegedly listening to Ukrainian music in his car.

OVD-Info says Usov is a single father, he has been prosecuted under the administrative offences code for the first time. He has four children under the age of 18 who are fully dependent on him. Despite this, the court decided to send him to jail for the maximum term.
