SBU video shows Russian soldiers rob a supermarket in Sumy region

The Security Service of Ukraine has published a video of Russian servicemen in Ukraine robbing a supermarket in Sumy Region. Surveillance cameras recorded them breaking down the door to the store and starting to take out goods. They took everything from batteries to perfumes. Bags for the loot were found right there in the store.

There are already dozens of videos of Russian looters online. On June 10, two Russian servicemen were suspected of having looted the apartments of local residents in Irpen, Kyiv Region, in February, according to the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine. It also turned out that they hailed from the Kherson and Donetsk regions and had already been subjected to criminal liability for committing property-related crimes. Law enforcers have notified them they are being suspected of violating the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), they face up to 12 years in prison.

According to investigators, the servicemen were active in the temporarily occupied territory of Irpen, they were looting private homes. They stole household and computer equipment, money and jewelry. According to the National Police, they joined an illegal armed formation in 2014 and committed crimes in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk region and Crimea; they were notified of their status as suspects. Under that article (participation in illegal armed formations resulting in casualties or other grave consequences) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, they face 10 to 15 years of imprisonment; they were also put on the wanted list.
