The “forward positions of Russian units” visited by the head of the Russian Defense Ministry Sergei Shoigu, are in fact 75 km away from the frontline.
Earlier, the Defense Ministry reported that Shoigu “circled the troops' deployment areas and checked the frontline positions of Russian units.” The Defense Ministry video shows Shoigu looking at trenches from a helicopter porthole:
GeoConfirmed project activists managed to identify the location. It turned out that it was in Crimea, not far from the village of Armyansk, that is 75 km from the nearest Ukrainian positions.
