Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexei Krivoruchko has two daughters, one has US citizenship, the other has a right to one, Navalny LIVE investigators have learned.
According to them, Krivoruchko's wife is Yekaterina Toropova, Miss Moscow 2001, who received a passport with her husband's surname in 2007. In 2001, the media described her as the winner of the beauty pageant who “lived in the States for three years and knows three languages.”
Navalny LIVE found out that the couple had a daughter on August 4, 2012. The investigators learned the government official's foreign travel passport number and thus were able to establish that he had flown to Miami on July 27, 2012, and had left America on August 10, almost a week after the birth of his daughter. This suggests that the child was born in the U.S. and, therefore, had the right to receive U.S. citizenship. According to U.S. law, everyone born in the U.S. gets it. The Navalny LIVE team has also found out the elder daughter’s U.S. passport details.
Krivoruchko's second daughter also has a right to U.S. citizenship. She was born on September 23, 2016, and at that time Ekaterina Krivoruchko was in the United States. She flew to Miami on August 19 and left on October 14. The investigators were unable to find her U.S. passport details.
Krivoruchko himself had been to the U.S. 26 times in the six years before his appointment to the Defense Ministry. Most often he visited Miami. In 2011, he opened a firm there called 5256 Fisher Island Drive, which he used to register and renovate an apartment. The 225-square-meter apartment has three bedrooms, expensive furniture, a private elevator and more; it’s worth several million dollars. Krivoruchko later signed it over to an employee of his company, Mikhail Tiraturian. According to media reports, he was supposed to arrange for U.S. sales of weapons produced by Kalashnikov, an arms concern Krivoruchko headed.
Navalny LIVE journalists have learned that in Russia Krivoruchko also has several luxury real estate properties. In 2019, he bought a 1,492 square meter house and a 35 hectare land plot on Rublevka worth over 500 million rubles. Another 3 acres of undeclared lands are in long-term use by his company.
